Qualified Trainer Program

CEPN is currently seeking Qualified Trainer applicants!

Upcoming Train-the-Trainer sessions are listed below. The trainings will be delivered in English. Organizations specializing in environmental, health and safety (EHS) and chemical safety training services are welcome to apply now to attend these sessions to become a Qualified Trainer. CEPN is particularly interested in building training capacity in Malaysia, Thailand, China and the Philippines.

Virtual Train-the-Trainer sessions

  • October 20, 22 and 24, 2025 (8 am to 11 am GMT+8) Session is full!
  • December 8, 10 and 12, 2025 (8 am to 11 am GMT+8) Eight spots remaining!

Interested parties are welcome and encouraged to apply. Please let us know if you are interested in a Train-the-Trainer session in 2026, as CEPN will also maintain a list of organizations and individuals interested in future sessions. Application instructions are below.

The purpose of the Qualified Trainer Program is to establish a network of organizations and individuals qualified to provide CEPN’s Chemical Safety Training to support long-term and broad deployment of the training globally.

How to Become a Qualified Trainer

The Qualified Trainer Program welcomes organizations specializing in environmental health and safety, chemical safety, and training, as well as individuals from within electronics suppliers and brands to apply for the Program.

Organizations and individuals meeting the selection criteria will be invited to attend a “Train-the-Trainer" session presented by CEPN. The session provides an overview of the training materials and expectations and best practices for delivery.

On completion of the Train-the-Trainer, participants are qualified to provide the Chemical Safety Training for suppliers and brands for a fee (local training organizations) or within their own organizations (individuals). CEPN maintains a list of qualified local training organizations on this website.

Qualified Trainer Program Benefits

For local training organizations: 

  • Increase training service offerings for existing and new clients to include CEPN’s Chemical Safety Training; 
  • Understand the structure and content of the Chemical Safety Training series and share strategies and best practices for engaging workers and managers in chemical safety training by attending a CEPN Train-the-Trainer session. 
  • Enhance staff training and skill development; 
  • Team with CEPN, electronics brands, electronics suppliers and other entities within the supply chain to increase worker and manager chemical safety competency. 

For individuals/representatives within electronics suppliers and brands: 

  • Streamline chemical safety training by utilizing a suite of deployment ready training materials available in multiple languages; 
  • Provide cohesive chemical safety training with linked content for workers and managers, and with a focus on increasing worker participation in chemical safety; 
  • Understand how the Facility-Specific Chemical Safety Development toolkit included in the training can be used to create customized follow-on training for facilities; 
  • Understand the structure and content of the Chemical Safety Training series and share strategies and best practices for engaging workers and managers in chemical safety training by attending a CEPN Train-the-Trainer session.
